Ben Garcia is a Louisiana-based cybersecurity and resilience leader focused primarily on protecting schools and secondarily healthcare organizations and public institutions from modern digital and physical threats. He is the founder of Pelican Cybersecurity, where he works at the intersection of cybersecurity, AI-driven safety systems, and disaster readiness. He is also founder and CEO of BriskSEO, an AI digital marketing firm in New Orleans.
With over 10 years of relevant experience and a deep understanding of Gulf Coast risk environments, Ben helps organizations strengthen security, maintain compliance, and remain operational during cyber incidents, storms, and emergencies. His work emphasizes proactive protection, continuity planning, and responsible use of advanced technology to support safe learning and care environments.
Ben regularly collaborates with education leaders, public-sector professionals, and infrastructure stakeholders to improve resilience across Louisiana’s critical systems. His accolades include a Bachelor’s Degree from Tulane University as well as many awards & honors. He has developed large-scale network infrastructure for high-rise buildings, Jefferson Parish and New Orleans Parish schools, hospitals and many industrial corporations with a focus on security.
